A little about me, my name is Gill Child, I have been creating and designing jewellery for 20 years, originally set up as "Bluebell Designs" after 9 years I decided I wanted to revamp my look and created "The Birdcage". I have a family of 2 boys, Elliott and Alfie, and a daughter Storm. Mr C and I will have been married for 20 years, in 2024, we also have Diesel, our 11 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback.
 
I love creating unique and bespoke jewellery using a mixture of different products  that I try and get from other artists and then compliment these with other products that I source from all over the world. I am always looking for the best quality that people can afford.
The jewellery is made from products such as, artisan glass, quality gemstones and crystals. I mainly use sterling silver but sometimes this is overpriced so I look for other different metal findings, still trying to maintain the quality.
I found soft Indian leathers, that are beautiful and come in a different array of colours.
These are finished off with handmade ceramics such as buttons or charms, from artists I have been using for many years and are all unique, all of which help to create that beautiful unique jewellery design, I am happy to put my name to.


Why "The Birdcage"?
I am passionate about creating stunning jewellery pieces that set my designs apart from the high street jewellery. I use quality materials and my designs are completely unique.

I am also open to creating custom designs to ensure that my customers get exactly what they're looking for.
